The Worshipful Company of Glass
Sellers and Looking-Glass Makers of London
received its Charter from Charles the Second in 1664, and ranks 71st in
precedence among the City's Livery Companies.
The Company is proud of the
heritage it enjoys and, with no thought or prospect of gain, seeks to
encourage interest in glass in all its aspects and to maintain the status
and great traditions of the City of London Corporation. The Company recognises that these have been established by the long history of good
craftsmanship, honest trading, charity and education, associated with the
City Livery Companies.
Our members today are men and women from many
different trades and professions. We welcome all who share our aims and
aspirations, and who, through their participation in our activities, are
willing to use their skills for the benefit of others.
